Recreation NL Launches New On Demand Training Platform for Recreation Sector Professionals and Volunteers

September 12, 2025 — Recreation Newfoundland and Labrador (Recreation NL) is pleased to announce the launch of RecNL On‑Demand Training, a new suite of expert‑led online courses designed to support recreation professionals, volunteers, and community leaders across the province.

The RecNL On‑Demand Training platform offers a range of self‑paced learning modules addressing key topics essential to enhancing inclusive, engaging, and impactful recreation programming. Courses currently available include:

• Webinars – Covering timely and relevant topics in the recreation sector
• Recreation Leadership Toolkit – Supporting leaders with guidance on programming, inclusion, community access, and capacity building
• Recreation Master Planning – Equipping learners with the skills required for effective strategic planning
• Facility Management – Navigating the operational complexities of recreation facilities
• Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion – Offering strategies, policy frameworks, assessments, and action plans to build inclusive environments
• Event Planning – Guiding participants from concept to execution, including troubleshooting, promotion, and evaluation

RecNL On‑Demand Training is available exclusively to members of Recreation NL. This initiative is part of RNL’s ongoing commitment to ensure accessible professional development tailored to the evolving needs of recreation leaders and volunteers throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
