DESCRIPTION:Recreation NL invites recreation and sport providers from across Newfoundland and Labrador to participate in a collaborative consultation on the development of a new Provincial Frontline Recreation Leadership Training Program. \n\nDate: July 28\nTime: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM\nLocation: Virtual (Microsoft Teams)\n\nRegister here! \n\n\nFrontline recreation leaders play a vital role in creating safe\, inclusive\, and meaningful experiences for children and youth. To better support this important work\, Recreation NL is developing a provincially grounded training program and is seeking input from organizations that provide frontline recreation training. \n\n\nThis consultation is geared toward day camp providers. Drawing on your experiences from this season and previous years\, participants will help identify the training topics\, resources\, and supports that will best prepare frontline staff for success. \n\n\nDuring the session\, participants will: \n\n\n\nLearn about the vision and direction of the Provincial Frontline Recreation Leadership Training Program.\n\n\nShare experiences and identify key training priorities.\n\n\nHelp shape a training framework that reflects the realities of recreation leadership in Newfoundland and Labrador.\n\n\nContribute ideas that will strengthen the quality\, safety\, and inclusiveness of recreation programs for children and youth.\n\n\nYour experience and perspective are invaluable.
