Becoming a Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) HIGH FIVE Trainer is a 2-day training designed for people responsible for training staff in an organization or simply interested in helping to deliver training to multiple agencies who believe in ensuring children have the best way to play! It helps organizations improve the quality of programs by making a commitment to continuous improvement in the area of healthy child development and training delivery.

Once you have a certified HIGH FIVE Trainer on staff, the delivery of HIGH FIVE trainings become easy and more cost-effective for your organization.

To apply to become a HIGH FIVE PHCD Trainer please complete the following application form. Deadline to apply is Thursday, March 28.

 Once you have been accepted to become a trainer, you will be sent registration information for the upcoming course.

• HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) and modules
• HIGH FIVE PHCD QUEST 1
• HIGH FIVE PHCD QUEST 2
  • Quest 2 workshop – Monday, May 13 Register (same location as Trainer Course)

Learner Outcomes

 At the completion of this workshop, learners will be able to:

• Identify participant learning styles
• Identify evidence-based content on healthy child development
• Use creative techniques and effective communication skills to deliver training content with confidence

Important Course info:

This is a two-day training.

Day 1 is held virtually on the Zoom platform. Day 2 is held in-person.

You must attend both days of training in order to complete the training requirement.

You are required to have the full downloaded Zoom app on your device and have a working microphone, web cam, and speakers to participate. HIGH FIVE® expects 100% participation in the training.

This includes keeping your camera on for the duration of all online training events and full attendance for in person training.

Do not plan other meetings, calls or events on the days of your training.
