HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development Sessions

Recreation NL is pleased to offer 3 PHCD sessions this spring.

PHCD training equips front-line leaders (anyone working with children ages 4-12 (camp counsellor, coaches, after school staff, swim instructor, etc.) with the tools to immediately enhance the quality of the programs they are leading. It provided essential training in the HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development so front-line leaders understand what they need to do to ensure each child’s social, emotional and cognitive needs are met.

Please note:

  • This training is open to NL Learners ONLY. If you are outside the province, you are not eligible to take these workshops.
  • This training requires 100% attendance and full participation in discussions via breakout rooms/chat, annotating during activities, as well as having your camera and microphone on to speak and engage in the training.
  • The use of a computer or tablet is required for this training, as you will need to use the following Zoom features, that are not available on a cell phone; annotate, chat, breakout rooms, polls, etc.
  • You will all need your own devices and will be required to use the camera and audio functions. You will need to keep your camera on throughout the training.
